ONE OF A KIND

Pyrite and quartz druzy necklace - Semi precious gemstone minerals with rough cut kyanite (tassel).

 

Seven pieces of lustrous druzys in pyrite and quartz (all in shades of greys, mauves and golds) are sculpted in gold resin then connected by heavy vintage chain to form this earthy and elegant piece. The large charcoal color “kyanite mineral” attached at the bottom serves as the 'tassel'.

 

28" long with an added 3" extender (you can adjust it shorter or longer).

 

The druzy and kyanite tassel that fall from the bottom end are an additional 5"

 

*Druzy: You will sometimes see the term spelled drusy, druse, druze or drusies. All terms refer to the same thing - tiny crystals that form within or on the surface of other minerals and provide a unique look like the sparkling of sugar or snow.

About Creator

Magnificent natural minerals, raw, semiprecious, and polished stones, vintage glass crystals and findings, resin mesh, lavish gold leaf and patinas – all materials sculpted by Pauletta Brooks, to create her unique designs, eye-catching manifestations from a mysterious world of beauty and fantasy. Blessed with a bountiful imagination, this graduate of the Arts from both Hampshire College and The Fashion Institute of Technology shapes each piece individually, instinctively allowing the material to dictate form while always keeping in mind the function to the wearer. Her signature is unmistakable: Sculptural, organic, bold ‘signature’ pieces that often look as if they’ve been dredged up from the sea from a mermaid’s lair.
